A Personal Statement From Dr. Kiridly:

Dr. Kiridly and his team of plastic surgeons perform all aspects of breast reconstruction, including direct implant, tissue expansion, and autologous tissue reconstruction. Dr. Kiridly has been the chief of Plastic Surgery at Long Island Community Hospital for over 10 years and had previously served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center. Seeing his patients smile is the most gratifying accomplishment in his career.

Full Biography:

Dr. Kiridly started his plastic and reconstructive surgery practice on Long Island in 1992. Dr. Kiridly graduated cum laude with an MB, Bch degree from the Kasr Al Ainy School of Medicine, Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt, a highly recognized and prestigious medical school in the Middle East. In the United States, he started his surgical training at the Nassau University Hospital; he advanced his surgery training at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Career Achievements and Contributions

As his interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery grew, he joined a two-year fellowship in the Burn Unit at the University Hospital of New York at Stony Brook. Following that, Dr. Kiridly excelled to complete the Plastic and Reconstructive Residency Program at the University Of Missouri at Kansas City, Truman Medical Center, in 1992.

Dr. Kiridly had the opportunity to be trained by pioneers of plastic surgery including Dr. Fredrick McCoy, MD, and Dr. Paul Tessier, MD. Following his vast training in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Kiridly performed thousands of surgeries, received many awards, acquired many positions, wrote for numerous publications, and participated in many research activities.

Dr. Kiridly continued teaching and mentoring students and residents throughout his career. For years, Dr. Kiridly has held the position of the chief division of plastic surgery in two prominent medical centers in Suffolk County and held a large number of chairperson positions throughout his time in practice. Dr. Kiridly feels that his highest reward is his patients’ satisfaction.
